My company is outside of the US. Can I submit a project for the awards?

Yes! Companies outside the US, or companies that completed international projects, are eligible for the Architecture and Interiors Awards.

How many projects can I enter for the awards?

You can enter as many projects as you want! Just remember you will need to pay a registration fee for each.

Do I have to mail any physical materials?

No. Please upload all materials to ardesignawards.com

Is my application fee per-project?

Yes. If you decide to submit two projects, for example, you will pay the entry fee twice.

What does each section of my dashboard mean?

• In Progress - Application(s) you are currently working on
• In Cart - Application(s) that you need to pay for in order to submit 
• Complete - Finalized application(s)
• Needs Attention - Application(s) you have not yet started
• Expired - Application(s) that were not submitted before the submission deadline. Expired applications will not be considered for an award

The above categories will appear only if you have an application in that category. For example, if you do not have any expired applications, the EXPIRED section will not appear on your dashboard.

Why do I have two separate entries in my account for the same project?

The registration/pay first round and submission materials sections will each appear individually on your dashboard along with that step’s status and submission date. For example, if you have submitted both the registration and submission materials sections of your application, the COMPLETE section of your dashboard will look like this:

How can I tell if I have fully submitted my application?

Both the registration and the submission materials section of your application will show up in the COMPLETE section of your dashboard (see above for example). PLEASE NOTE: In order to fully submit your application, you will need to go through the second payment wall at the end of the submission materials section.

I was registering my project, but the system asked me to pay my fee before I could upload images. Where do I upload images?

You must register and pay your entrance fee before you can upload your project images and description. Once you pay your fee, you will be taken to the rest of your application.

Can I register and pay for my entry fee by the early deadline of Oct. 9, 2023 but upload my materials after that date?

Yes, but please know that if you submit all or part of your submission after Oct. 9, you will need to pay the $50 increased fee.

Where do I pay the late fee?

You will pay the late fee at the end of the submission materials section.

Can I mention the names of my company, contractors, and consultants in the project description?

No. No identifying information can be included in any part of your application (project name, description, on plans, etc.).

How long should my project narrative be? 

We request that your narrative be around 500 words, though there is no set minimum or maximum.

How many total photos can I submit? 

You can submit up to 20 images, including photos and drawings.

Can I submit more than one image of the project in the same file?

No. Please do not combine more than one image in the same JPG file; upload single images only. Our judges want to be able to see your projects in as much detail as possible

What format should my images be?

All images must be in JPG format with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI. Images cannot exceed 2,000 pixels in length or height.

How should I format my plans? 

Plans must be converted to JPG files. Images cannot exceed 2,000 pixels in length or height.

Can I have a refund on my submissions?

We’re sorry, but no. No refunds will be issued. Please be sure to review all eligibility guidelines before submitting a project. If you still aren’t sure whether you qualify, please email ardesignawards@zondahome.com

Can I submit my product to the Architecture & Interiors Awards?

No. Unfortunately, The Architecture & Interiors Awards does not accept products as applicants. Please check out ARCHITECT's Product Call.

Can I submit my residential project to the Architecture & Interiors Awards?

No. Unfortunately, The Architecture & Interiors Awards does not accept residential projects. Please check out ARCHITECT's annual Residential Architect Design Awards. 

When will you announce the winners?

We will announce the Architecture & Interiors winners in February 2024 on architectmagazine.com. Winners will be alerted beforehand. Be sure to follow ARCHITECT on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and to sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know when the winners are announced.
